New Delhi, Dec. 2 -- Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell announced on Tuesday that he will not be entering his name in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 auction, bringing an end to his lifelong standing participation in the tournament.

"After many unforgettable seasons in the IPL, I've decided not to put my name into the auction this year. It's a big call, and one I make with a lot of gratitude for everything this league has given me," Maxwell said in an Instagram post.

The 35-year-old, who has been a prominent feature in the league since 2012, said the IPL had played a defining role in both his professional and personal growth.
