Mumbai, April 24 -- Maharashtra Health Minister Prakash Abitkar on Thursday expressed that due to transparency and effectiveness in the organ donation process, more and more needy patients will be able to be given life.
Presiding over a meeting held at Arogya Bhavan here, he observed that organ donation is taking on a new dimension, as a result the organ donation and transplantation process in the state is gaining momentum.
He said that Human Organ Recovery Centres (NTORC) will be created in government hospitals and coordinators will be appointed there.
New Regional Organ Transplant Coordination Centres will be established in Amravati, Kolhapur, Nashik and Solapur, he informed.
