Prayagraj, April 25 -- Girls have outshined the boys in the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board (UP Board) high school and intermediate examination, whose results were declared by the board on Friday, officials said here.
Official said that in high school, Yash Pratap Singh of Jalaun has topped the state with 97.83 percent marks, while in intermediate examination, Mehak Jaiswal of Prayagraj has topped the state with 97.2 percent marks.
Officials said that 90.11 percent students have passed the board's high school examination, in which the passing percentage of girls is 93.87 and that of boys is 86.66 percent, while in intermediate examination, 81.85 percent students have passed.
