Patna, March 29 -- Girls have outperformed boys, recording a pass percentage of 86.23 per cent, compared to 84.09 per cent by boys in the Class 10 (Matriculation) examination conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board.
According to results declared by the Bihar School Examination Board, the overall pass percentage this year stood at 81.79 per cent.
Pushpanjali Kumari of Simultala Residential School in Jamui secured the first rank with 492 marks out of 500 (98.4 per cent). Sabrin Parveen from Vaishali district also emerged as a joint topper.
Anupa Kumari, a student of a government school in Buxar district, secured the third position in the state with 489 marks (97.6 per cent), emerging as the district topper.
