Lalitpur (UP), March 27 -- A 17-year-old girl was beaten to death by unidentified persons in Bar
area of Lalitpur district here in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, police sources said here.
Police said that the incident took place in Devran village where Nidhi, a student of 11th standard, was beaten to death inside her house.
"Nidhi was alone in the house at the time of the incident as parents had gone to the field to harvest the crop," they said.
On receiving the information, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Anil Kumar and Circle Officer (CO) Abhay Narayan Rai reached the spot along with the forensic team and started the investigation.
"There were injury marks on the shoulder and head of the deceased," police said.
