Srinagar, Dec. 19 -- Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti on Friday mounted a scathing attack on union minister Giriraj Singh, accusing them of attempting to establish what she described as "Kaurav Raj" in the country.

The remarks came amid the controversy triggered by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar removing the veil of a doctor at a function in Bihar and subsequent remarks made by Singh.

Mehbooba said India is a secular country rooted in the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, who laid down his life for secularism.
