Mumbai, Jan. 3 -- The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday announced a 15-member Indian squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against New Zealand, with Shubman Gill named captain, while senior all-rounder Hardik Pandya and pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah have been rested as part of workload management.
Gill returns to the ODI setup after missing the South Africa series and has been handed leadership responsibilities for the home series. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli retain their places in the squad following strong domestic performances in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
