Bengaluru, Dec. 1 -- Shubman Gill is set to report to the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru to begin rehabilitation for a neck injury, raising hopes about his availability for India's upcoming five-match T20I series against South Africa.
The India vice-captain, sidelined from international cricket since the second day of the first Test in Kolkata on November 15, will undergo intensive treatment at the CoE. The T20I squad is expected to assemble in Bhubaneswar a few days ahead of the first match on December 9 in Cuttack.
After leaving the Indian team during the Guwahati Test, Gill consulted specialists in Mumbai for his neck spasms and continued personal rehab at his home in Chandigarh before travelling to Bengaluru.
