New Delhi, Aug. 1 -- Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad on Saturday expressed his condolences on the death of former Samajwadi Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh.
In a tweet, the senior Congress leader said, ''Saddened by the death of senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP, Shri Amar Singh. Heartfelt condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace.''
The former Samajwadi Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP on Saturday died in a Singapore hospital, following prolonged illness.
He was 64 and survived by wife Pankaja and two daughters.
A former Samajwadi Party leader, Amar Singh was ill for a very long time and was undergoing treatment in a Singapore hospital for several months.
