Hyderabad, Oct. 17 -- The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has pulled up Hyderabad Integrated MSW Limited (Ramky) for negligence and delays in garbage collection across the city.

GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan today issued a notice to the agency for failing to comply with the terms of its waste management contract.

According to the agreement, the agency must ensure garbage clearance at all 2,532 Garbage Vulnerable Points (GVPs) and bin points across Hyderabad by 1030 hours every day.

However, a performance review conducted on October 16 revealed that only 1,879 GVPs were cleared within the stipulated time, indicating significant lapses in operations.
