Hyderabad, June 17 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday caught an Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 1.2 lakh.
According to an official statement, B. Swaroopa, AEE of the Kapra Circle-1 office, was caught by the ACB Ranga Reddy Unit this afternoon while receiving the bribe from a complainant.
The bribe was allegedly demanded in exchange for showing official favour - specifically, for writing Measurement Book (MB) entries for work completed by the complainant.
