Hyderabad, June 9 -- GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) has been awarded the coveted LEED Platinum certification for its expanded passenger terminal at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), under the LEED v4 Building Design and Construction category.
The terminal scored an impressive 84 points from the US Green Building Council, placing it among the top-rated airport facilities globally for sustainable design and performance. The expanded terminal spans over 379,000 square metres and incorporates high-efficiency systems for HVAC, lighting, water conservation, and energy monitoring, a statement said on Monday.
