Berlin, Oct. 4 -- Germany has urged Iran to resume negotiations with the UN over its nuclear program, following the snapback trigger of all pre-2015 international sanctions, Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said on Friday.

"Iran must never come into possession of a nuclear weapon," Wadephul told Funke Media Group, reports Iran International.

While he adamantly maintained that Tehran can never be allowed to possess a nuclear bomb, he warned of imminent risks in the aftermath of the 12-day Iran-Israel war and the US airstrikes, espousing fears of further fuelling the Islamic Republic's nuclear weaponisation.
