Berlin, Aug. 2 -- In an unprecedented move, Germany has considerably ramped up its militarisation, with the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) reporting a 28% increase in the number of recruits from January to July, reports RT.
Russia - which has repeatedly slammed Western countries and the NATO countries for using Moscow as their 'monster' for justifying the increased militarisation of Europe - has called the bloc's move a "reckless act."
According to the German Defence Ministry, more than 13,700 people joined the Bundeswehr - the army, air force, navy, and other branches - since the start of 2025.
