Berlin, July 9 -- German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is expected to hold talks with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Berlin on Wednesday.
Rutte will fly to Berlin to attend the ceremony commemorating the 70th anniversary of Germany's accession to NATO. Approximately at 4 p.m. local time (14:00 GMT) Merz and Rutte will hold a joint press conference. NATO's chief is then scheduled to attend the ceremony at 6 p.m.
Rutte will also meet with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, parliament speaker Julia Kloeckner and defense committee parliamentarians.
