Tbilisi, April 16 -- Georgia welcomes the completion of talks between Azerbaijan and Armenia on a peace agreement, Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili said on Wednesday.

"Georgia welcomes the completion of talks [between Baku and Yerevan] on the provisions of a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia. It is undoubtedly a step forward in the presentation and use of the region's potential and opportunities," Kavelashvili said at a joint press conference with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Georgia supports dialogue, diplomacy and peaceful coexistence in the South Caucasus and is ready to contribute to it, the Georgian leader said.
