Jaipur, Oct. 3 -- Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has reiterated the demand for the release of climate activist Sonam Wangchuk from Jodhpur Central Jail.

"Wangchuk is neither a terrorist nor a hardcore criminal. His contributions in social work, particularly in climate, education, and environmental spheres, have been highly acclaimed nationally and internationally. The way he is being treated detained under the National Security Act and shifted to Jodhpur, far away from Leh-Ladakh is inhumane. This is not befitting for a renowned social worker like him," Gehlot said in a chat with the media here today.
