Patna, July 31 -- Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary today said that gated weir and related infrastructure would be constructed on the Old Kamla River at Dherukh village in Beniapur block of Darbhanga district at an expenditure of over Rs 26 crore.

Chaudhary stated that administrative approval for the related project has been granted which would enhance local irrigation capacity, improve flood control, and strengthen water conservation in the region. He said the NDA government in Bihar was consistently working towards effective flood management and sustainable water storage systems.
