Chandigarh, March 8 -- In a brazen overnight heist, unidentified miscreants targeted an ICICI Bank ATM located outside Eldeco on the Jalandhar Bypass Road in Ludhiana, decamping with approximately Rs 7 lakh in cash.
The robbers reportedly employed a cinematic style of operation, using sophisticated gas cutters to breach the security shutters and the machine itself during the early hours of Sunday.
The incident has triggered an alarm in the industrial hub, prompting senior police officials to carry out an immediate spot inspection.
