New Delhi, Nov. 26 -- Heaps of garbage, clogged drains, and potholes in roads were among the list of civic and sanitation issues highlighted by residents of Delhi's Laxmi Nagar during the inspection drive conducted by Pankaj Kumar Singh, Delhi Health Minister, on Wednesday.

Speaking to the cabinet minister, locals apprised him about the delays in garbage lifting, cleaning of major drains, road repairs, roadside encroachments, and poor sanitation services in a few lanes in the area.

He assured them that the government is fully committed to eliminating such problems from the root and further strengthening every essential civic service for the people of Delhi.
