Hyderabad, Sept. 7 -- Hyderabad City Police Commissioner CV Anand said the Ganesh immersion procession, which began at 06:30am yesterday, concluded successfully with the coordination of all departments.

Around 1.40 lakh idols, including 1.20 lakh immersed in baby ponds and smaller water bodies, were immersed across the Hyderabad Commissionerate.

Speaking to the media at Telangana Talli Flyover, near Secretariat today, Anand said 12,034 idols were registered online, of which 6,300 were immersed till yesterday. Sensitive South Zone idols were prioritised, while an increase in idols taller than 40 feet caused some delay.

He said five cases were registered over minor clashes during the procession, but overall, the event remained peaceful. Ov...
