Nagpur, Oct. 10 -- union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday said that striving for perfection and quality is crucial for the future development of civil engineering.
Inaugurating an All-India seminar on Forensic Civil Engineering organised by the Institution of Engineers in Nagpur, Gadkari urged engineers to abandon the "chalta hai" (casual) attitude and adopt world-class standards in construction.
He emphasised the importance of pre-casting technology in road and building construction, stating that once design patterns are standardised, project costs will drop while quality improves.
