Nagpur, Feb. 6 -- : Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today said that the Naxal-affected Gadchiroli district in Vidarbha will soon shed its troubled identity and emerge as the "Green Steel Hub of India."He was speaking at the inauguration of the Advantage Vidarbha 2026 - Khasdar Industrial Festival, organised by the Association for Industrial Development (AID) at the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University campus on Ambazari-Amravati Road here.
Fadnavis said that by creating a comprehensive steel ecosystem in Gadchiroli, the district would not only become a major green steel hub but would also be capable of supplying steel to global markets at prices cheaper than China.
