Mumbai, Feb. 11 -- A fire broke out in the famed Oshiwara furniture market of suburban Mumbai on Tuesday, the fire brigade said.
Furniture worth lakhs of rupees was damaged in the fire, but there were no reports of any injury.The fire broke out at 11-52 a.m in the market located in the Jogeshwari East area along Swami Vivekanand Marg.The blaze was confined to the ground floor of the furniture godown near the A1 Darbar Restaurant and was doused at 1 p.m.Eight fire engines and 12 water tankers were engaged in the rescue operation. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, the Fire Brigade sources said. UNI AAA BD SSP
