Jalna, March 27 -- Amid an acute fuel shortage, authorities in Jalna on March 27 enforced restrictions on petrol and diesel sales, with police deployed at fuel stations to control crowds and ensure regulated distribution. Several petrol pumps in the city have remained shut due to low stock, while those operational are supplying fuel under strict supervision.
The situation intensified in the Chaudhary Nagar area, where heavy crowding at a petrol pump prompted immediate police deployment.
Officials have since regulated supply, allowing fuel distribution in limited quantities as part of measures introduced by the district supply department to maintain order and prevent panic buying.
