Aizawl, July 20 -- Mizoram is in the throes of a deepening fuel crisis as the bulk of oil tankers transporting fuel to the state from Assam have suspended operations since Saturday, citing worsening road conditions along key lifeline routes.
The sudden halt in supply has triggered panic buying and led to serpentine queues at the few petrol pumps still dispensing fuel. Many outlets have already exhausted their stock, leaving anxious motorists stranded across the state capital and beyond.
