New Delhi, Sept. 29 -- As air pollution continues to harm people's health around the world, new research has revealed that eating more fruit could help protect the lungs from damage.

The study, presented at the European Respiratory Society Congress in Amsterdam recently, found that fruit laden with anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds may be especially helpful for women in cutting down the impact of toxic airborne particles that infiltrate the lungs.
