From big to small nuclear power plants -- N talks to take centrestage during Putin visit

Chennai, Dec. 4 -- One can surely expect a major announcement in the nuclear sector between India and Russia during the Russian President Vladimir Putin's two day Indian visit starting Dec 4, 2025.

The announcement could be on Russia supplying small modular reactors (SMR) to India or even participating in the India's nuclear sector post privatisation.

It should be noted that already Russia's integrated nuclear power major Rosatom is supplying six 1,000 MW nuclear power plants to India.

While two 1,000 MW plants are functioning in Kudankulam in Tamil Nadu, the remaining four are under construction at the same place.
