New Delhi, Oct. 10 -- India U23 men's football team edged past Indonesia 2-1 in the first of two U23 international friendlies at the Gelora Bung Karno Madya Stadium in Jakarta today.
All goals came in the first half as Suhail Ahmad Bhat's superb brace (5' and 26') gave Naushad Moosa's side an early two-goal lead, before Dony Tri Pamungkas pulled one back for Indonesia in the 41st minute.
The second half ended goalless as India held firm to secure a hard-fought victory, highlighting both their attacking flair and defensive discipline.
