Shimla, Jan. 14 -- Development of Western disturbances in the Himachal Pradesh with effect from Thursday may end prolonged dry spell in the state as Indian Meteorological Department had forecast rain or snowfall likely from January 16 to 19.
"The prolonged dry spell in Himachal Pradesh is likely to break with the activation of a fresh western disturbance from Thursday night, bringing rain and snowfall between January 16 and 19." IMD said in weather bulletin. The weather system is expected to be more intense in high and mid-altitude areas from January 16 to 18.
