Shimla, Feb. 4 -- Fresh snowfall in prominent tourist destinations Kufri and Kalpa marked the fourth snowfall spell of the season in Himachal Pradesh, lending a renewed winter charm to the hill state, while rain in mid and lower hill areas and a sharp fall in temperatures intensified cold conditions across the region.

According to the Meteorological Centre, Shimla, Kalpa in Kinnaur district received 10.8 cm of snowfall, the highest in the state, while the popular hill resort Kufri recorded around 1 cm of fresh snow.
