Shimla, Jan. 5 -- The high reaches of Himachal Pradesh witnessed a fresh spell of snowfall during the past 24 hours, while severe cold wave conditions, dense fog, and widespread frost continued to affect normal life across several parts of the state.

According to the Meteorological Centre, Shimla, Khoksar in Lahaul-Spiti received around 2 cm of fresh snowfall, while Kalpa and Gondla recorded light traces of snow. Very light snowfall was also reported at isolated locations in other high hill areas.
