Kolkata, Dec. 1 -- A new petition was filed in the Calcutta High Court on Monday challenging the recently announced recruitment process for Group-C and Group-D non-teaching positions in state-run schools across West Bengal.
These vacancies emerged after the Supreme Court, in April, struck down the entire 2016 recruitment panel of the West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC), covering both teaching and non-teaching posts.
Justice Amrita Sinha's single-judge bench admitted the petition and scheduled it for urgent hearing on Tuesday.
The matter has gained urgency as Wednesday marks the deadline for submitting applications for the new round of non-teaching recruitment.
