Chennai, Oct. 24 -- A fresh Low Pressure Area has formed over the Bay of Bengaltoday which could possiblly intensify into a Cyclonic Storm by October 27.
Met office said Northeast Monsoon has been active over South Tamil Nadu and rainfalloccurred at many places over South Tamil Nadu and at a few places over North TamilNadu.
Under the influence of yesterday's Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over Southeast Bayof Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea, a Low Pressure Area has formed overSoutheast Bay of Bengal at 0530 hrs today.
It slowly moved west-northwestwards and lay over the same region at 0830 hrs today.
