Aizawl, Dec. 8 -- The turmoil within the Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC) has taken a new turn with MDC Doymoy Daveng Chakma urging the Governor to dissolve the 11th Council, warning that the political deadlock has reached a point where "stable governance is no longer possible."In a letter submitted a few days back, Daveng Chakma alleged that the Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) Legislature Party - which currently holds a numerical majority - is fractured from within, claiming several MDCs were acting under the "influence and direction" of leaders from rival parties.

He described the present ZPM-led arrangement as a "temporary and fragile formation" driven by political compulsions rather than cohesion.
