New Delhi, Aug. 21 -- French President Emmanuel Macron today called Prime Minister Narendra Modi and conveyed his support for early conclusion of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and the European Union.

The leaders reviewed progress in bilateral cooperation agenda, including in areas of trade, Defense, civil nuclear cooperation, technology and energy.

They reaffirmed joint commitment to strengthening India-France Strategic Partnership and mark 2026 as 'Year of Innovation' in a befitting manner.
