Lucknow, Aug. 1 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday announced that like previous 3 years, women can avail free travel in all categories of government buses in the state on Rakshabandhan festival.
Besides, the government has also allowed sweet and rakhi shops to open on Sunday even though it was a weekend restriction and all shops in the state are closed on Saturday and Sunday, CM said while wishing the people on the state on the occasion of Rakshabandhan.
In a statement here, the CM said that free bus travel to all women in all categories of buses would be allowed from midnight of August 2 to midnight of August 3 for 24 hours.
