Paris, June 4 -- The entry of a Greenpeace (designated as an undesirable organization in Russia) ship to the port of Nice ahead of the UN Ocean Conference has been blocked, Greenpeace International said.
The French city of Nice will host the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference, co-organized by France and Costa Rica, from June 9 - 13. More than 70 heads of state are expected to participate. On Tuesday, meetings started in Nice ahead of the summit.
"In retaliation against Greenpeace ahead of the UN Ocean Conference, the French authorities have blocked Greenpeace International's ship Arctic Sunrise from entering the port of Nice, where the 'One Ocean Science Congress' then the UN conference are being hosted," Greenpeace said in a Tuesday sta...
