Ranchi, Nov. 17 -- The body of the fourth policeman who drowned in the Dhurwa Dam accident, constable Satyendra Singh, was finally recovered on Monday morning, bringing an end to an extensive search operation that had been underway for three days.

Earlier, bodies of the three other policemen involved in incident had already been retrieved from the submerged vehicle. Teams of the NDRF and local divers had been continuously engaged in the search for Singh since the mishap.

The tragedy occurred when four members of the security team of the Principal District Judge (PDJ), Jamshedpur, were travelling in an official vehicle. On the night of November 14, their car reportedly lost control and plunged into the waters of Dhurwa Dam.
