Hyderabad, Feb. 24 -- In a major blow to the banned CPI (Maoist), four of its most senior underground leaders surrendered and joined the mainstream before the Telangana Police on Tuesday, effectively leading to the collapse of the outfit's top organisational structures, Director General of Police B Shivadhar Reddy said.

Addressing a press conference at the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC), Director General of Police B. Shivadhar Reddy said Politburo Member Tippiri Thirupati alias Devuji alias Kumma Dada and Central Committee Member Malla Raji Reddy alias Sangram had rejoined the mainstream, resulting in the disintegration of the last surviving top organisational body of CPI (Maoist).
