Dharamshala, Sept. 24 -- Four pilgrims were killed and 17 others injured, six of them seriously, in a road accident near Dehra in Himachal Pradesh's Kangra district, police said today.

Mayank Choudhary, Superintendent of Police, Dehra, told UNI that a truck carrying pilgrims from Bathinda to the Chamunda Devi temple overturned after colliding with a Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus near Dhaliara.

The truck driver, who was allegedly speeding and driving negligently, attempted to flee after the collision but lost control at a sharp curve, causing the vehicle to overturn.

There were 35 pilgrims in the truck, which was on its way to set up a langar at the Chamunda Devi Shrine for the ongoing Ashwin Navratri. One pilgrim died on...
