Banda (UP), March 29 -- Four members of a family, including two brothers, were sentenced to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 20,000 each by a local court on Saturday for murder of a farmer in Banda district here in Uttar Pradesh, prosecution counsels said here.

Additional District Government Counsel (ADGC) Devdutt Mishra and Public Prosecutor Saurabh Singh said that on October 13, 2011, Bali alias Balram along with his brothers Jagram and Ramdas had gone to Jalalpur village under Baberu police station area to arrange a tractor for ploughing the field.

The counsels said that while returning from there, two real brothers Raghvendra Singh alias Bauwa and Kallu, along with Bachuli and Chunnu, shot Bali alias Balram dead on the spot....
