Bhopal, Dec. 10 -- Four cops of the Madhya Pradesh Police were killed, and one was injured when their official vehicle collided head-on with a container truck in the Sagar district of MP early morning Wednesday.

According to police officials, the mishap took place on National Highway 44 at the Jhikni area under Bandri police station limits.

The policemen were returning from duty at Balaghat and going towards Morena in the police van (MP 03 A 4883) of the 'Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS)'.

At a sharp turn, the police van collided head-on with a container truck coming from the opposite direction.

The impact was so immense that four cops died on the spot, and the police vehicle got mangled.
