Dumka, Nov. 23 -- Four members of a family, including two young children, were found dead under mysterious circumstances in Bardehi village under Hansdiha police station on Sunday.
The deceased include a husband, wife, and their two children.
According to police, the bodies of 27-year-old Aarti Kumari and her two children, 2-year-old son Viraj Kumar and 4-year-old daughter Ruhi Kumari, were recovered from inside their house. The body of 32-year-old Birendra Kumar, the head of the family, was found a short distance away in a field.
Police officials confirmed that ligature marks were found on Birendra's neck, adding complexity to the investigation.
The incident took place nearly 45 kilometres from the district headquarters.
