Rae Bareli (UP), Jan. 28 -- Four persons were killed and one more was injured when an SUV was hit by a tractor in the Bhadokhar area of Rae Bareli district here in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, a police officer said here.
Circle Officer (SO) Amit Kumar Singh said that four people travelling in the SUV died after their vehicle was hit by the tractor near the Dariyapur diversion of Munshiganj at around 6:30 in the morning.
"All these persons were going to take a dip in the Sangam on the occasion of Maha Kumbh," he said.
He said that the deceased have been identified as Ashish Dwivedi (45), Deependra Singh (40), Maya (45), and Rajni (70). "A person, who sustained serious injuries, is being treated at AIIMS.
