Manila, July 11 -- Four people, including a flight instructor, were injured after a four-seater Cessna 172 plane crashed into a farmland in Zambales province, northwest of Manila, on Friday morning, aviation authorities said.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said the aircraft was on a training flight when it went down in Iba town, injuring the instructor and three student pilots.

According to CAAP, the plane took off from Iba Airport at around 8:57 a.m. local time and crashed roughly 30 minutes later.

All four individuals were taken to a hospital for medical evaluation and were reported to be safe and conscious, CAAP added.
