Ramgarh, July 19 -- Four alleged members of the Pandey gang were arrested today near
Jubilee College, Bhurkunda, for attempting to extort money and halt construction work by
threatening a contractor and site staff at gunpoint.
The accused - identified as Shubham Singh alias Bittu, Dharam Karmali, Shravan Ganjhu, and Vishal Singh - were caught during a police raid led by ASP Patratru Gaurav Goswami following a tip-off about a planned attack. Police recovered a country-made firearm, live cartridges, two bikes,
a mobile phone, and a cloth used during the crime.
Police said the gang had previously issued threats on July 9 and 12, leading to the registration of Patratru PS Case Nos. 182/25 and 183/25 under various sections of the Bharatiya ...
