Srinagar, Sept. 29 -- Four people, including two siblings, died of suffocation while cleaning a trench in south Kashmir district of Anantnag, official sources said here on Tuesday.
Four persons were cleaning a sewage trench at Luktipora in Bijbehara on Monday evening. The four have been identified as Nazir Ahmad Dar, his brother Abdul Rashid Dar, Arshid Ahmad Wani and Sajad Ahmad Wani, were found unconscious in the trench.
The four were immediately rushed to a hospital where they were declared brought dead. After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the bodies of the deceased were handed over to their relatives for last rites, the sources added.
