Srinagar, Nov. 16 -- At least four persons were killed and seven others injured in a road accident in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir late Saturday, officials said.
The accident took place at around 9.30 pm on Ring Road near Patwaw village when a dumper rammed into a Sumo passenger vehicle.
"Four died on the spot and seven others were injured; some of the critically injured were shifted to hospitals in Budgam and Srinagar," officials said, adding that the casualty figures could rise.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed shock and grief over the tragic accident in Budgam.
