Kolkata, Jan. 30 -- Even after four days of the devastating fire at Anandapur, the fate of at least 27 people remains unknown, even as human remains continue to be recovered from the site.
Till Friday, investigators have retrieved 21 body parts from the charred premises, but the exact number of casualties is yet to be ascertained.
The identities of the victims also remain unclear, and the recovered remains have been sent for forensic examination.
A senior official of the Baruipur police district said on Friday that missing persons' diaries have been lodged for 27 individuals in connection with the incident.
"So far, 21 body parts have been recovered, but it is not possible to confirm the number of deaths at this stage," the officer said...
